Our client has a requirement for Cardiothoracic HDU/post surgical ward nurses at Band 5 or above. This is a 33-bededCardiothoracic unit with 15 of these designated as critical care beds, providing quality care beds, providing quality care to level 2 and 3 patients. It s a forward thinking, innovative and nurse-led unit carrying out 800 varied and often complex cardiac and thoracic procedures yearly. Has close links with the university of London, they are to offer in-house leadership and management courses. You will be supported educationally by our own Professional Development Nurse. Education and Support: Nurses are given opportunities to develop their clinical skills, and are actively encouraged to undertake further academic studies A Staff Development Unit provides a wide range of valuable in-house courses New members of staff: All new members of staff attend one week s hospital induction and then they are supernumerary for a period that will depend on their previous experience New members of staff are supported by dedicated mentors and will have on-going performance assessment.
